Jeremy has been working in the community and voluntary sectors since 1981 – in charity, housing association, local authority and infrastructure settings.

He worked principally in the field of mental health until 2001 in the London Boroughs of Hackney and Hammersmith & Fulham. After a 3 year stint running a Crisis House in Islington for the charity Umbrella, he became a Service Manager with responsibility for services supporting people with a wide range of needs for Community Housing Association (now One Support) in Camden. Returning home to Wales in 2007 he joined Voluntary Action Cardiff (now Cardiff Third Sector Council), initially as Communities First Co-ordinator and later as Senior Officer. He joined VCS Cymru in 2012.

Jeremy has also been actively involved in developing Community Radio and has been a presenter and producer on Radio Cardiff since it launched in 2007. He was responsible for co-ordinating the station’s news output from 2008-2015 and has been involved across a broad spectrum of programming including drama, documentary and music.

He is currently Chair of Cardiff and Vale Action for Mental Health (cavamh), and was previously Chair of the Board of Race Equality First (2013-16).
